28 Jan. – – La Salle senior David Principe placed second in the boys’ junior mile run on Saturday at the New Balance Grand Prix meet at the Reggie Lewis track. Principe clocked 4 minutes, 12.34 seconds (= 3:53.8 @ 1500m) for second place on the track’s banked oval. He held the lead through much of the race, finishing second to Josh Hoey, of Pennsylvania. Hoey’s time was 4:09.26. Coming in behind Principe in third spot was Nicholas Dahl, also of Pennsylvania, in 4:14.68. There were 11 runners in the field.
