MEDIA NOTE – – Here are the local trams that are entered in this Saturday’s Ocean State Cross Country Championship, at Goddard Park, Warwick:
Barrington; Chariho; Coventry; Cranston West; Cumberland; East Greenwich; Lincoln; Moses Brown; Mt. Hope; Ex./W. Greenwich; Narragansett; N. Kingstown; Toll Gate; Westerly; Wheeler; Bay View; Pilgrim; Prout; St. Raphael.
The event will include numerous teams from around the Northeast, and a contingent from Castle Rock, Colo.; a town of some 20,000 located midway between Denver and Colorado Springs.
Six middle school events will be held on Friday afternoon at Goddard, beginning at 3:45 p.m. The 14 high school races begin at 9 o’clock Saturday morning with freshman runs. The two Championship Division events will go off at 12 noon (girls) and 12:30 (boys.)
