21 Jan. – – In what portends to be common this season, Adam Kelly, Barrington High’s big man in the weight circle, broke his own R.I. and New England record with the 25-pound ball. At a dual meet on Tuesday night at PCTA, the senior got off a winning mark of 83 feet (25.30 meters). Kelly’s performance betters his state/N.E.-record toss of 82-8.75 (25.21)  which he did at the20 Dec. R.I. Classic meet as part of a three-man relay effort. Kelly also secured his current No. 1 U.S. ranking.

Kelly also won the shot on Tuesday with a put of 50-7.75 (15.44).
