18 April - - Chariho and La Salle, the respective boys’ and girls’ 2011 outdoor state team titlists, tallied the highest numbers in the first of three RIT&FF coaches polls. The Rams rolled up 110 points (and 11 first-place ballots) in voting by girls’ coaches. Hope was third (84), followed by East Greenwich.
 

The boys’ poll, however, was tight, with the Chargers ahead of second-place Hendricken by one point, 86-85. Classical followed in third (69).
 

Oval Notes: The next poll will be conducted on 15 May . . . The next major meet is the Cumberland Girls’ Invitational at Tucker Field, 28 Apirl.
