Hawks, La Salle Girls Hold Coaches' Poll Leads

Feb. 15 - The La Salle girls and Hendricken - defending state champions - closed out the RIT&FF coaches polls as the dominant teams. The Hawks and Rams picked up first-place votes among all the coaches who participates in the three indoor track surveys.
In the girls’ voting, the top four teams finished in the same place they did in the Feb. 3 survey: La Salle; Classical; Hope and Toll Gate. The Mt. St. Charles girls’ team jumped up three notches: from 10th to 7th place in this latest poll.
The Hawks and Chariho repeated the 1-2 finish of the Feb. 2 boys’ poll. The Chargers received five first-place ballots of the 11 coaches voting.
OVAL NOTE: This Saturday’s State Championships begins at 12 noon at the PCTA track, Providence.
