La Salle Girls, Hawks Lead First Poll

14 Sept. - - Defending state champions Hendricken and the La Salle girls’ squad garnered the highest number of points in the first of three RIT&FF polls. The surveys emanate from a panel of cross country coaches and sports writers.
 

In the girls’ poll, South and North Kingstown, as well as Barrington, gathered triple-digit numbers. The Chariho boys placed second behind the Hawks in the boys’ survey.
 

Course Notes: The next coach/media poll will be 18 October . . . The annual Ocean State Cross Country Invitational is scheduled for 23-24 September.
