Owen Russell, of Moses Brown School, and Toll Gate junior Courtney Jacobsen were victors on Tuesday at the New England Hammer Championships, held at Conley Stadium. Russell, a senior, threw the 5.44 kilogram ball 230 feet, 5 inches (70.23 meters), while Jacobsen unloaded the 4-kilo implement 168-6 (51.36).
